Nicholas: English and French name. From the Greek name Nikolaos that meant "victory of the people" from Greek
nike "victory" and laos "people". Saint Nicholas was a 4th-century bishop who, according to legend, saved
the daughters of a poor man from lives of prostitution. He is now known as Santa Claus, the bringer of Christmas presents.
He is the patron saint of children, sailors and merchants, and Greece and Russia.
The first name of Nicholas has given him a clever, deep mind and the talent to excel in highly inspirational lines of
endeavor as a dramatist, musician, writer, or artist.
He can be lifted by beauty in all forms and he is at the most creative when inspired. His expressive, affectionate nature
responds very quickly through his feelings, but he must guard against being possessive and jealous. He feels and senses much
that he does not fully understand and cannot express. His delight in mystery could draw him into occult studies or religions.
Unfortunately, uncontrolled thoughts make it difficult for him to retain emotional stability and prevents him from finding
proper peace and relaxation. He tends to centre his interest too much on whatever means the most to him, and then he becomes
over-possessive and suffer through disillusionment and fear of losses.
Moods of depression, self-pity and a quick temper cause him much suffering. Inner turbulence can deplete his vitality
and have a detrimental effect on his health causing him to suffer through heart, lung, or respiratory troubles, as well as
breakdowns of the nervous system.
